GR8 Property was established in Pretoria in 2004 by Michael Armstrong, following his career in the Corporate property environment in Johannesburg and Pretoria over 35 years. The latter years were spent in various executive capacities in a major listed Corporation, before early retirement. With a lifetime of experience, time available and a desire to continue working, GR8 Property was borne, to provide multi-disciplined property related consultancy, advisory and valuation services, initially to an established client base of past business contacts and later to a wider spectrum of corporate clients. Proving extremely successful, the business grew and with a demand for a wider scope of services and an ever growing client base, Michael’s son Justin joined the business in 2006, after having worked for 12 years with the property subsidiaries of two of the major JSE listed Institutions. At the same time new custom offices were established in Ashlea Gardens, Pretoria, at the centre of the rapidly developing eastern suburbs. The intention was to refocus and grow the business into a multi-disciplined property company, offering additional property brokerage and management services. As part of this strategy GR8 Property obtained the Pretoria license for Colliers International, an affiliation of independently owned and operated real estate companies, with 13000 employees internationally, operating from over 300 offices, through 60 countries, on 6 continents.  As a partner of this truly global organisation and having access to the intellectual capital of many of the leading property businesses around the world, gathered under the umbrella of a single partnership, we were able to capitalise on the International exposure and provide our clients with a more comprehensive and superior service, through a wide range of property related services, coupled to our local depth of knowledge and expertise. As Colliers International we expanded to function in the spheres of Commercial property, encompassing office, industrial & retail property services and covering, sales, auctions, & leasing. In these fields of endeavor, our services covered, land assembly, investment, tenant and corporate representation, asset management, property development, consultancy, appraisals and valuations, legal & research. Our target area is and remains Pretoria, Centurion and Midrand, which is serviced from the same central office.

After 5 years of trading under the Colliers International brand, in 2011, this family business decided to relinquish the identity and re-brand back to GR8 PROPERTY. The international experience was invaluable, however the break offered substantial opportunities as an independent service provider, which were effected with seamless effectiveness in December of 2012. Now, as GR8 PROPERTY, the business is targeting new levels of competence and service excellence, through added flexibility, drive and additional resources.

GR8 PROPERTY carries with it a client base that has been built on mutual respect, integrity and a comprehensive understanding of their property related needs. To the repeat business that arises from these relationships, comes a growing expansion of our client base, though word of mouth and referrals, providing owners, property managers, tenants and investors the best possible commercial real estate solutions, through local knowledge, on a global scale.
